This wall mounted piece began as scavenged vine from a culled invasive ivy species at Ladner Harbour Park. I had no idea what I wanted to do with it but I knew this would be a great addition to my collection of bits and pieces. Eventually I pulled it out and started to imagine the form which would become Root Angel. Plaster was laid on wired surfaces which were bonded to the root form. There are many layers and it took a long time to come together. My biggest challenge was finding the conversation and balance between the face /mask and the form.
