Upcoming Workshops-

Fran Alexander- Creative Acrylic Layering and Glazing Techniques Using transparent and opaque acrylic paints, students will work on two small expressionistic paintings over a two half day period. Fran will provide photo references from which you will be taken through step-by-step instructions, building multiple layers of paint, removing paint, exploring mark making techniques, and colour combination possibilities. Exploration is encouraged.

Wednesday April 14 6:30 - 9:30 pm and Saturday April 17 9:30 - 12:30 pm

Charlie Easton Compelling, Dramatic Paintings via Zoom.The workshop will involve demos, critiques, and key learnings from Charlie’s perspective on how to make compelling art. Art that moves the viewer, in the same way that we are all moved by our incredible landscapes. Some of the concepts to be covered are: 

- Composing a painting to tell a compelling story

- Colour mixing. Using colour to tell your story

- Outdoor set up and getting something done fast

- Critiquing your work, and then tailoring demos to address areas where you need assistance in taking your art to the next level.
