Fran Alexander- Creative Acrylic Layering and Glazing Techniques Using transparent and opaque acrylic paints, students will work on two small expressionistic paintings over a two half day period. Exploration is encouraged.

Monica Burrow- Colour Mixing If you have ever wondered how to mix a certain colour, why you couldn’t get a particular colour you are aiming for, how to avoid buying so many tubes of paint, how to use the tubes you already own, how warms and cools can be used to make colour, making neutrals, or mixing darks, then this course should help you overcome a lot of these issues.
Saturday April 24 and Sunday April 25 9:30 - 4 with lunch and mid morning and afternoon breaks
Monica Burrow- Acrylic Landscape Painting Topics will cover choosing photo reference, a discussion of value, common pitfalls in landscape painting, composition, a brief discussion about colour, how to plan your painting and more. By lunch time on the first day, you will have a start on your own canvas and after lunch you can begin painting for the afternoon. On day two, Monica will demo a landscape with sky, water, and land. Then you will be free to work on your own painting.
Saturday May 1 and Sunday May 2 9:30 - 4 with lunch and mid morning and afternoon breaks
