Established in 1975 and based in Tsawwassen (Delta) BC, the South Delta Artists Guild is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the appreciation and development of the visual arts. Through Gallery 1710, we host regular art shows and sales. In our workshop, we hold demos, workshops, life-drawing classes and art drop-ins. |

History:
The Guild was incorporated as a not-for-profit society in 1975 by a small group of local artists. Over the years, the Guild’s activities took place at several locations in Tsawwassen, including the Phoenix Club, a multi-use old converted firehall condemned and demolished in 2003. In 1999, the Guild signed a partnership agreement with Delta to become the primary user of the Kiwanis Longhouse, which was built in 1973. After raising funds to renovate and equip the space, the Guild moved in and remains there today. The art banner just outside the Longhouse offers a warm welcome to all art lovers and artists.
