“Between Structure and Spirit” emerged as a happy accident from playful experimentation with various media, including interference paint on unique collage papers and cyanotype solar prints applied over acrylic paint. The piece is sealed with two coats of resin and finished with a matte acrylic varnish. The composition features a structured upper section suggesting a kind of scaffolding that gives rise to the more organic, fluid forms in the lower section. This juxtaposition hints at the underlying order that shapes natural forms, and the tension between the rigid and the free.
