“Inside you is the song the Universe wrote just for you. Express its beauty in everything you do” —Myriam Laberge. This mixed media painting is a celebration of soul expression. I began with a layered, expressive abstract background—just colour, texture, and feeling—and slowly, through layers of acrylic, loose graphite and intuitive gestural mark-making - the dancer emerged. She’s not performing for anyone. She’s lost in the rhythm of something deeply her own, attuned to her inner music. Her arms reach skyward, her body flows with grace and abandon, as if every cell remembers a song too ancient for words. Inside each of us is a unique frequency—a pulse, a calling—that wants to be lived out loud. This piece is about trusting that and letting it move you.
