Lalita Hamill Still Life

Learn techniques to create a clean, expressive, confident painting and reduce the amount of ‘mucking about’.  Through a series of demos followed by exercises, Lalita will guide participants through 40-stroke studies that will inform participants on how to mix colour, create expressive, fresh marks, and design effective edges. Appropriate for all oil or acrylic mediums, and will be geared toward those with some painting experience. Although it is not required (and participants can use their own photo references), it will be to your advantage to transfer the provided image(s) onto a canvas as described below.

Prior to day 1 (recommended) Choose one of the images provided and transfer each line drawing, same size, onto a canvas. Please do not paint anything onto the canvases other than gesso. This is so we can get right to painting.

Difficulty level: All levels, though some painting experience is recommended
