Subject: Chigiri-e  (Japanese Art form using torn paper) Workshop with Roxsane Tiernan

Date: Sunday April 19th, 2020 - please come at 9:30 to set-up 

Level: All

Hours: 10 am - 2 pm (30 min lunch break)  Please bring lunch, snacks and beverage for the day.  

Techniques using coloured paper torn to create images (which often gives an effect of water colour).

roxsane her workshops focus on helping artists become more confident, creative-thinking outside the box - trying new techniques, colour combinations and just seeing the possibilities that the media presents.

 As well, Rosane will discuss paper choices, composition and blending.

List of supplies

Two old paint brushes

White glue or acrylic medium

scissors

Water and blue containers

A support - watercolour paper or canvas board

Also:

Have an idea of what you want to do.

You will learn using tissue paper that Roxsane will provide.  Please do not buy or bring along any papers at this time (usuallly you end up buying the wrong stuff)

Roxsane will also bring (for sale $1.00 each) samples of the papers she uses.

Note book and pen - as she will be talking about paper finishes and techniques.- most likely you will want to take notes!  Roxsane will be discussing all types of collage as well.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

We require full payment at the time of registration and your seat will be assigned in the order that the registration was received.  You may withdraw until 5 weeks prior to the workshop start date and receive a full refund.  Refunds will not be allowed after this cut-off date unless the spot is filled by someone from the wait list.  The SDAG reserves the right to change or cancel a workshop in which case a full refund will be given to all registrants.
