Jack Turpin is a South Surrey artist whose artistic passions are divided between painting westcoast landscapes and creating imaginary worlds with his writings and art journals. He is a Senior Signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.  His paintings can be viewed on his website (

Explore the limitless between combining the creative wealth already existing in your head/sketchbook/journal with your imagining the next "six impossible things."  Join Jack as he helps us give whimsical expression to our thoughts and concepts to produce a lively painting on canvas, board, or paper. Jack Turpin

On day one, working primarily with our sketchbooks/journals, we will challenge ourselves to walk through new pathways in pursuit of our own personal imagery.  On day two, we will paint the vision.

Please bring as many of your favourite art supplies that you can cram into a portable art supply box:  paints (acrylics, watercolours, oils), drawing tools (markers, pencils, coloured pencils), scissors, glue stick, bits of ephemera you might want to incorporate into your piece (for example, black and white photocopies of photographs, writings or anything else), and your choice of painting support.

Please contact Kathy Forbes ( or Mary Savage ( for further information.
