Pacific Coast scenery is near to the heart of Wynn Dennett, and her special feel for it's unique quality comes through in her painting. Born in Skagway, Alaska, she came with her parents to live in Delta at an early age and had all her schooling here. Wynn loved drawing as a child and while still in High School she enrolled and graduated from a course in Commercial Art from Federal Arts School of Minneapolis, Minn. After raising a family she returned to her love of art and enrolled in the Fine Arts Program at the Fraser Valley College in Abbotsford. She mainly studied figure drawing s and painting, but also took print making, sculpture, design and art history. With a move to Tsawwassen in I979, Wynn joined the South Delta Artists' Guild and has attended many of their workshops. She has worked in oils, pastels and acrylics, but favors watercolors.
She has shown her work with the Fraser Valley College in Fort Langley, in juried shows in White Rock, as a member of the Delta Arts Council she had a two person show in the Ladner Library, and has shown her work in every show with the South Delta Artists' Guild for the past 20 years.
